What's Good Ya'll! As we close out Women's History Month, I wanted to put ya'll on to a new R&B artist. Jade Novah. Now IFYKYK, but if you are just getting hip like me, then I hope you are ready because this album is everything!
Jade Novah has been out here doing her thing since 2016 and I'm so disappointed in myself for just now discovering her music. While this is not Jade's first album, it does seem like it has been highly anticipated within the R&B/Soul community. 'Where Have I Been?' was released March 1st and it has 24 songs!!! UNHEARD of these days it seems right? What I love about this album so much is that it tells a story from start to finish. It's like Jade Novah was singing her diary so trust me when I say all 24 songs are worth your time.
The intros/outros are also my fav! First of all, I wanna know why artists stopped making intros and outros for real? Like I know some do it here and there, but artists really started stepping away from the intros/outros especially in R&B and 'iont like dat lol. The intros/outros on this album are so smooth, allowing the story to guide you deeper into perhaps a one time love of Jade Novah. The transitions from song to song are also smooth, I'm a sucker for song flow, like the next song after the one I just heard has to make sense you feel me?

When I first heard Jade Novah, I was like wow! her voice is beautiful!! The way she composed the album reminded me so much of classic R&B/Soul. This album was giving Jill Scott vibes and a dash of Alicia Keys. This album is definitely one of my favorites this year only further proving that R&B is so far from dead. Get into it ya'll!
