What’s Good Y’all! So much new music, so little time! While people debate on social media about how tough it is to find new music and artists, my algorithms have been saturated with fresh, new sounds, and I’m doing my best to share them as much as I can, so make sure you follow me on social media @wedrinwine_

I hope you are not sick of my gushing about Elmiene (EL-MEAN) yet, because he just released his first project of 2025, and I feel like, as we are nearing the end of the year…somehow, he is just getting started. This is your official PSA: If you have YET to do a collab or get into Elmiene, this is your sign that you should do so RIGHT NOW…STOP READING THIS AND GO!!!

Now, back to those of us who are already hip, Elmiene has released 'Heat The Streets'. Apple Music has this listed as a mixtape, so I’m not sure if it is a mixtape, EP, or an album, but it is 12 songs. Don’t fret, it's only 26 minutes long…which honestly pisses me off. Elmiene is gonna have to come up with some real material and stop giving me snippets of work.

What I love about this project is that it does show his range a little more as to what style of R&B music he can do aside from the latest sound of alternative R&B style that is popular now. With songs like ‘Useless (Without You)’, Elmiene taps into that traditional 90s/early 2000s R&B sound, providing a very easy and mellow bop that’s hard to get out of your head once you hear it. ‘Miss Hot July’ taps into that ‘Neo Soul’ era of R&B, the composition style of D’Angelo and Musiq SoulChild resonates through the speakers as you listen to the lyrics and production. Lastly, ‘You’ve Got A Friend’, Elimiene takes a shot at this Carole King cover and does a BEAUTIFUL rendition of this classic 1971 track.

Now my man is just flexing and showing off with this project, trynna let y’all know like, 'LISTEN I done told y’all I really AM WHO I THINK I AM', you better get into it! This is really your last chance to hop on the train, because his next project is gonna be the one!
