Lucky Daye and Muni Long Have a Little Something to Say in Their New “Knockin” Video

Apparently, R&B isn't done being messy, and Lucky Daye and Muni Long have decided to bring a whole band into the situation.
The two Grammy-winning artists have teamed up for the official music video for “Knockin,” featuring Atlanta band The Paradox. Released November 3, the visual brings another dimension to their collaboration from Lucky Daye's latest album, ALOUD!
And this isn't your typical slow-motion R&B love story.
A Little Chemistry, a Little Chaos
“Knockin” centers on a fictional love triangle, with Lucky Daye and Muni Long approaching the situation from different perspectives.
Lucky brings the charm. Muni brings the attitude. And The Paradox supplies the guitars that make the entire exchange feel a little more rebellious than your average R&B duet.
The video takes a performance-focused approach, placing the artists in a studio setting where the musical chemistry becomes part of the storytelling.
Instead of relying on an elaborate storyline, the visual gives each performer room to establish their personality.
Sometimes a good record doesn't need an entire movie attached to it.
Sometimes the conversation is entertaining enough.

R&B Doesn't Have to Stay in One Lane
The collaboration also reflects the creative direction behind Lucky Daye's 15-track album, ALOUD!, released October 16 through Warner Records.
The project features appearances from Leon Thomas, Pusha T, Akeem Ali, Muni Long, and The Paradox.
Throughout the album, Lucky experiments with different musical influences while continuing to explore relationships, attraction, and the complicated emotions that come with both.
With “Knockin,” those influences meet somewhere between contemporary R&B, soul, and rock.
It's a reminder that R&B has never needed to exist inside one particular sound.
And with artists like Lucky Daye and Muni Long willing to explore different approaches, the genre continues to leave room for something unexpected.
What's Next for Lucky Daye?
According to Warner Records, Lucky Daye is scheduled to perform at the BET Soul Train Music Awards on November 27.
He has also announced a 2027 North American tour supporting ALOUD!
For now, “Knockin” offers another opportunity to experience the album's musical range.
And judging by this fictional love triangle, somebody has some explaining to do.
