MC Abdul Tells His Story on Debut Album Day By Day, Shway Shway

At 18, MC Abdul has already lived a story that reaches far beyond the recording booth. The Palestinian rapper has released his debut album, Day By Day, Shway Shway, a nine-track project shaped by his journey from Gaza to California and his determination to keep telling stories through music.
Executive produced by Suhel Nafar, with production led by !llmind alongside other contributors, the album draws from hip-hop, Afrobeats and Middle Eastern musical traditions. Songs including “Shway Shway,” “Wein Abdul?” and “Wait For Me” move between confidence, hope, separation and remembrance.
According to the artist's press announcement, the three-part “Is It Real?” frames the project around leaving home, adjusting to life in the United States and reconnecting with family. Other tracks address displacement, fear and the emotional weight of conflict. These experiences are presented through Abdul's own music and reported account, rather than as independently verified details of specific events.
The album also marks a creative milestone for an artist whose early performances drew attention online when he was a child. For listeners discovering him now, Day By Day, Shway Shway offers an introduction to his sound and to the perspective he wants to bring to global hip-hop.
