Che Noir Proves It Takes a Village With Black Thought, Havoc and More

Buffalo rapper Che Noir returns with It Takes a Village, a 12-track album that puts lyricism, reflection and community at the center of the conversation. The project features collaborations with Black Thought, Ransom and Bruiser Wolf, with production contributions from Havoc, Mathematics, Conductor Williams, Nottz and Chuck Strangers. On Fame & Fiction, Che Noir joins forces with Black Thought over production from Mathematics. Havoc contributes to Urban Essence and A Caged Mockingbird. Beyond the formidable list of collaborators, the album explores growth, parenthood and the people who help shape a life and career. The title says plenty: no creative journey happens entirely alone. For listeners who appreciate deliberate writing and a deep respect for Hip Hop craft, It Takes a Village belongs on the new-music radar.
