Fendi P Is Bringing New Orleans Luxury Rap to His Next Chapter With Monsta P

Fendi P knows a thing or two about making a come-up sound effortless. The New Orleans rapper is preparing to deliver Monsta P, his new collaborative project with producer Monsta Beatz, and the first introduction comes in the form of “Favors and Funerals.”

Released alongside a music video, the song sets the tone for the forthcoming project with airy production, weighty bass and the relaxed delivery that has become part of Fendi P's Jet Life identity. According to an October 14 announcement from his publicists at Audible Treats, the video alternates between performance scenes and moments in East New Orleans.
“Favors and Funerals” serves as the opening track of Monsta P, which is scheduled to arrive October 28 through Jet Life Recordings. The project pairs Fendi with Monsta Beatz, a producer whose past work includes releases with Curren$y and Lil Wayne. The announcement also names the previously released “Cassette Deck 2” as part of the forthcoming track list.
Fendi P's connection to Curren$y's Jet Life circle goes back years. The two New Orleans artists collaborated on Smokin' Potnas in 2020, while Fendi's solo catalog has continued to explore the contrast between neighborhood beginnings and a more luxurious lifestyle.
That perspective is what makes this next chapter worth watching. On paper, Monsta P is another artist-and-producer collaboration. In practice, it's a chance to hear how Fendi P's understated storytelling works across a project shaped by one production partnership.
