Punch's aroomfullofmirrors Brings 12 Voices Together on Creative Luxury 2

Twelve voices. One freestyle. Plenty of room to make a statement. That is the approach behind “Creative Luxury 2,” the latest release from aroomfullofmirrors, the Hip Hop collective founded by artist and TDE executive Terrence “Punch” Henderson.

The nearly 10-minute freestyle has officially arrived on digital streaming platforms after debuting on YouTube in August, according to an October 14 announcement from Audible Treats. The collective has 13 members, with 12 contributing verses to this particular track.

Rather than asking listeners to sit through the entire track every time, the group is releasing “Creative Luxury 2” in two formats: as one uninterrupted freestyle and as an EP of individual verses. In other words, you can experience the full conversation or revisit whichever MC caught your attention first.

Shah Infinite opens the record, and Watts rapper Vo'Nycole closes it. In between, artists including Daylyt, Ichiban Don, iAMLYRIC and Punch step forward. The production draws from Enchantment's “Silly Love Song,” giving the collective a shared backdrop while leaving space for their individual writing styles.

What makes the rollout interesting is the choice to spotlight every voice instead of reducing a large collective to a handful of familiar names. There is room for listeners to debate favorite verses, discover artists they may not know yet and explore the different personalities that make up the crew. For a Hip Hop audience that still enjoys a good verse-by-verse conversation, that is part of the fun.

The release also continues the group's path toward its next album, which the publicists describe as its first full-length project since 2021. Earlier this year, aroomfullofmirrors delivered “World's Gone Crazy,” a Sounwave-produced single focused on contemporary social concerns.

Founded through a series of collaborative studio sessions beginning in 2019, the collective has built its identity around making music together in person. “Creative Luxury 2” puts that idea front and center: different artists, different perspectives and one shared record.
