FEWGI and Haitian American Caucus Bring Breast Health Awareness to the Community With Bloom Room in Pink

October may be recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but conversations about women's health deserve attention long after the pink ribbons disappear.
The Foundation for the Empowerment of Women and Girls (FEWGI) is partnering with the Haitian American Caucus (HAC) to host Bloom Room in Pink, a free virtual breast health awareness webinar on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
The organizers invite community members to join experts for a conversation about breast health, early detection, and advocating for personal well-being.
Making Room for Health Conversations
Between professional responsibilities, family obligations and everyday life, personal wellness does not always receive the attention it deserves. Bloom Room in Pink aims to encourage women to make room for questions and reliable information.
FEWGI and HAC describe the gathering as an open, informative community conversation. Participants are encouraged to invite a friend, bring their questions and take part in shared learning.
Why Awareness Matters Beyond October
Breast health education includes understanding personal risk, discussing changes with a healthcare professional and learning which screenings may be appropriate. Recommendations vary according to age, health history and individual risk.
A community webinar cannot replace personalized medical care, but it can help participants prepare informed questions for their clinicians and make important conversations feel more approachable.
How to Attend
Bloom Room in Pink takes place Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11 AM Eastern, immediately following Bloom Room. The virtual event will be hosted on Google Meet and admission is free.
Registration details are available through FEWGI's social media announcement and the QR code on the official event flyer.
As Breast Cancer Awareness Month closes, the event offers a reminder that prioritizing personal health is an ongoing commitment.
