What's Good Y'all!!! Happy Spooky Season! As we gear up for another Halloween, I hope everyone has a great time, but most importantly, stay safe out there.

This past Wednesday, I had the opportunity to get a last-minute ticket to see Rico Nasty live in Nashville, TN, at the Brooklyn Bowl.

I had been to the Brooklyn Bowl once before for another event, so I was already prepared for the concert setup. I did not make it to the show on time. I was exhausted and barely wanted to leave my house, but like a crazed fan, I so badly wanted to see Rico. So I skipped the all-black look because the look required heels, and I opted for ripped denim jeans, a black crop top, a black leather jacket, and sneakers. Cool enough lol.

I get to the show just in time to catch the opener, SADBOI. This Toronto native was super cute to watch. Now, I have never seen Ice Spice perform live, but from the televised performances I have seen, SADBOI kind of reminded me of her, with a little more crowd interaction. While SadBoi is classified as a pop artist, their sound is more garage, house, dance, and rap music with pop influences. Lol, I know that's a crazy mashup, but it only makes sense for a Rico Nasty tour. Definitely make sure you check out my social media and links below for SadBoi!

I love Rico Nasty; this tour marked the release of her 7th studio album. WOW, lucky number 7: to be in the game for as long as she has and to release 7 studio albums is a huge accomplishment! I didn't discover her music until 2018 with her single 'Smack a Bitch'; whatever I was going through within that season, that song really did it for me, and I have been a fan ever since. Whether you've been here since her first studio album, 'Tales of Tacobella', or if you've been a fan since her single 'Hey Arnold' released in 2016, OR maybe you are a real OG and you've been rocking with Rico since her first mixtape, 'Summer's Eve', released as a high school sophomore in 2014. Whenever you were introduced to her, the journey has been beautiful to see.

As the DJ introduces himself and Rico, the crowd begins to chant "Let's get Nasty!" After a few seconds, Rico pops out full throttle in a cute short-sleeved black top and a short ruffled skirt set with shorts underneath. She came out on stage full of energy with 'WHO WANT IT' and the entire crowd went wild, chanting the popular first song off the Lethal album. In an era where songs are getting shorter and shorter, Rico Nasty has mastered making a banger in less than 4 minutes, allowing you to hear several different tracks, both old and new, from Rico.

The energy that exuded from the crowd and Rico brought me back to life as I hung in there for about an hour, jamming to several different tracks, such as 'Tia Tamera', 'EAT ME!', 'SOUL SNATCHER', 'ON THE LOW', and more. The show was electric and so was she as the entire stage was her playground and the audience were her friends she hadn't seen in years. We danced, we sang, we jumped up and down like we were at a rave. The drinks were flowing, and of course, people snuck in weed lol. The show was a GREAT TIME! Next time, I am dressing in my best goth look, taking a nap, and I'mma rage out lol.

There are still a few cities left on this tour, so if you want to catch a dope show and have a great time, I highly suggest it! Links below:
