What's Good Y'all!!! How y’all doing out there? We are already in May and man it’s been a whirlwind of concerts and events, it’s been tough to choose which ones to attend, ‘cuz you know the way my funds are set up…lol.Â

Now I really wanted to see Usher, I mean last year I was very jealous of everyone and their momma getting the Red Light Special from Usher Raymond. So like a love-crazed fan I scoured the internet for days searching for more tour dates for Usher Raymond IV. I didn’t care if the dates were a year from now I was going to be there! Finally, I stumbled upon dates for another round of Usher, however this time, my man was overseas. Now why would he cross the pond without me is beyond me, but I knew I had to follow. I also wanted to travel this year and leave this place for a while. Leaving the United States is always a breath of fresh air as soon as you step off that flight it's like a weight just slides off. So, I got my floor seat ticket (which was shockingly much cheaper than every venue here in the US. I hit up my homegirl from college who is not only a great friend but also a great travel agent! Donella Chevalier of ICEE Travels, hooked me up with a beautiful, cozy room at a Doubletree Hilton in Greenwich, London. She booked my flights, picked my seats, gave me all the deets on the hot tourist spots and how I would be able to get around. She was a godsend to help me plan for my first concert overseas. I was kind of nervous. And I have no clue why. I have been to a ton of concerts by myself. This was also my second solo trip out of the country. So what made me so anxious? I finally found the answer for that, which I wrote in my journal and will most likely share on my podcast, but in the meantime…I didn’t allow my nerves to stop me from having the experience of a lifetime.Â

I caught the train to The O2 arena. The Arena was surrounded by places to shop, eat and drink, however I arrived just in time to get a quick drink, grab a good spot up front and enjoy the show.Â
Since the age of 15, Usher has been an entertainer, now at 46 Usher could take a break and just live in peace but he’s still out here touring and moving on stage as if he just dropped his self-titled debut album yesterday! This was his last show at The O2 after multiple nights performing in London and I was fortunate enough to be there for it.Â

No opener, all Usher and I was beyond elated and in heaven! If you have been an Usher fan from the very beginning of his career, then this tour was for you! He went down memory lane with us as he shared childhood photos, songs from the start of his career, his trials and tribulations, fears and triumphs . I found myself deeply moved by his growth but also with the realization that I too have grown with him. From that teenager that hung posters of him on my bedroom wall and in my locker to the adult who traveled across the Atlantic just to see him sing Nice & Slow live lol.Â

Per usual one of my favorite parts of the concert is the introduction of background vocalists and the band. So I was even more excited when I saw THE Gene Noble up there doing his thing, singing background vocals beautifully for Usher. Now if you haven’t checked out Gene's latest single make sure you get into it, because I definitely wrote about it here!Â
Listen I could go on and on about how beautiful the arena was, how fun it is to go to a concert in London because people actually dance and have a good time and lastly how my heart is to fully from such an experience I would do it again and again!Â

I highly recommend checking a show overseas if you can! As a matter of fact Usher is continuing his world tour and headed to Australia for a few shows. Check out the link below:
